Druk Path Trek of 8 Nights and 9 Days trek is the most popular trek in the country as it passes through a gorgeous natural landscape of blue pine forests, high ridges and pristine lakes while at the same time offering the opportunity to visit some ancient lhakhangs, dzongs and villages.
The Druk Path Trek is also a fairly easy hike to undertake as the distances between rest camps is fairly short. The trail takes you through forests of fir, blue pine and dwarf rhododendrons. This trek also offers hikers stunning views of Mt. Gangkar Puensum, the highest peak in the world. The best times to embark on the Druk Path Trek are between March-June and September-November.

Itinerary
Arrive in Paro and meet your Prayer Flags Tours representative, your guide for the journey. Visit Ta Dzong, converted into the National Museum, and Paro Dzong, an ancient fortress. Overnight at a Paro hotel.
Embark on a morning hike to Taktsang Monastery, perched on a cliff. Marvel at the view where Guru Padmasambhava meditated. Visit Drukgyal Dzong in ruins. Overnight in Paro.
Trekking Start a 5-6 hour trek to Jele Dzong and to Jangchu Lhakha. Experience gradual terrain with stunning views of the Paro valley. Camp at Jangchu.
Trek 5 hours, following ridges with beautiful mountain views. Camp near Jimilangtso Lake.
Embark on a 6-hour trek, passing rhododendron trees and Simkota Lake. Experience yak herder camps. Camp at Simkota.
Trek 4 hours, enjoying views of Mt. Gangkar Puensum. Descend to Phajoding cafeteria or camp.
Complete a 3-hour trek through a forested area. Reach Thimphu and check into a hotel.
Visit the Takin Preserve, Kuenselphodrang (Buddha Point), National Memorial Chorten, and Tashichhoe Dzong. Drive to Paro for the night.
After breakfast, your guide and driver will take you to Paro airport for your onward flight, concluding your Bhutanese adventure
