Your incredible journey in Bhutan begins as you arrive at Paro International Airport. After a warm welcome, your first destination is Paro Dzong, an awe-inspiring fortress that stands majestically on the banks of the Paro River. This visit provides a glimpse into Bhutan’s rich architectural and cultural heritage. You’ll then transfer to the capital city, Thimphu, where you’ll spend the night in the luxurious comfort of Aman Kora Thimphu.
Your day starts with a scenic drive to Punakha, with a visit to Wangdi Dzong along the way. Upon arrival, you’ll embark on a picturesque hike to Chimi Lhakhang, a temple dedicated to the ‘Divine Madman.’ The evening offers free time at your hotel, either Hotel Six Senses or Hotel Pemako.
Today’s adventure includes a hike to the longest suspension bridge in Punakha, with breathtaking views of the surrounding natural beauty. You’ll also visit Punakha Dzong, a historical and architectural marvel. Lunch is a delightful picnic or a comfortable one at Aman Kora Lodge in Punakha. Afterward, you’ll transfer to Phobjikha, where you’ll spend the night at Aman Kora Gangtey.
In Gangtey, you’ll visit the serene Gangtey Goempa, a significant Buddhist monastery. Afterward, you’ll embark on a hike along the Phobjikha Nature Trail, surrounded by the tranquility of nature. Your next stop is the Black-necked Cranes Center, dedicated to the preservation of these magnificent birds. Lunch is served at Aman Kora Lodge in Gangtey, followed by free time to immerse yourself in the serene atmosphere.
Today, you’ll hike to Dochula, with a scenic hike to Lungchutse, offering breathtaking panoramic views of the Himalayan peaks. A picnic lunch amidst the natural beauty provides the perfect refueling. You’ll then transfer back to Thimphu, where you’ll spend the night in either Aman Kora Thimphu or Six Senses, enjoying luxurious accommodations.
Your day in Thimphu commences with a scenic hike from Changangkha to Kuensel Phodrang, home to the iconic Buddha Point, offering sweeping vistas of the valley. You’ll also visit Dechen Phodrang, another significant cultural site. Lunch is a delightful affair at Aman Kora Thimphu. Afterward, you’ll have free time for shopping and exploration in the town. In the evening, you’ll transfer back to Paro, where you’ll spend the night at Aman Kora Paro or Bhutan Spirit Sanctuary, Paro.
A highlight of your journey, you’ll embark on a memorable hike to the revered Taktshang Lhakang, also known as the Tiger’s Nest, dramatically perched on a cliff. After the hike, you’ll visit Kichu Lhakang, one of Bhutan’s oldest temples, before spending the night in Aman Kora Paro or Bhutan Spirit Sanctuary, Paro.
