Itinerary

Upon your arrival at Paro International Airport, the enchanting journey through Bhutan begins. You’ll be transferred to Thimphu, the capital city. Your first day includes visits to some of the city’s iconic landmarks. You’ll explore the Memorial Chorten, a revered Buddhist stupa, and make your way to Buddha Point, offering panoramic views of Thimphu Valley. After a delicious lunch, you’ll visit Dechenphodrang Monastery and the majestic Trashichoe Dzong, where Bhutan’s government and monastic body coexist harmoniously. Your night will be spent in a comfortable hotel.

Your journey continues as you transfer to Punakha. En route, you’ll have the chance to see Simtokha Dzong from a viewpoint, and then you’ll drive through the picturesque Dochula Pass, adorned with prayer flags and commanding views of the Himalayas. You’ll also get a glimpse of Wangdue Phodrang Dzong from the outside. After a fulfilling lunch, you’ll embark on a hike to Chimi Lhakang, a temple dedicated to the ‘Divine Madman’ – Drukpa Kunley. Your day ends with a visit to Punakha Dzong, a stunning fortress situated at the confluence of two rivers.

On this day, you’ll transfer to Haa Valley via the breathtaking Chelela Pass. You’ll have some free time to immerse yourself in the serene beauty of the valley and mingle with the welcoming locals. In the evening, you’ll experience a traditional Bhutanese hot stone bath, known for its therapeutic and relaxing qualities. You’ll spend the night in a charming farm house, providing an authentic glimpse into Bhutanese rural life.

Today, you’ll explore the cultural gems of Haa Valley by visiting Lhakhang Karpo and Lhakhang Nagpo, two sacred temples. Take a leisurely stroll around the town, absorbing the serene atmosphere. After lunch, you’ll drive back to Paro, where you’ll spend the night in a comfortable hotel.

A highlight of your journey awaits as you embark on a morning hike to the iconic Taktsang Monastery, also known as the Tiger’s Nest. This sacred site clings to the edge of a cliff and offers breathtaking views of the valley below. After your hike, you’ll visit Kitchu Lhakhang, one of Bhutan’s oldest temples. Your day concludes with a delightful dinner at a farm house, providing an intimate look at Bhutanese culture.
